MILWAUKEE – The 2021 WIAA State Girls Soccer Tournament was held at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee on June 24-25.
Four divisional champions were crowned on Thursday, June 24, and Friday, June 25.
Milwaukee Divine Savior Holy Angels (17-1-1) won its fourth Division 1 state title, defeating Hudson 2-1 in the championship game June 24. DSHA also won state championships in 2008, 2009, 2014 and 2016.
Whitefish Bay (20-0) took the Division 2 state crown with a 7-0 rout of Green Bay Notre Dame in the championship game June 24. Whitefish Bay, playing in its 21st state tournament, won its ninth title to go along with championships in 1983, 1983, 1985, 1994, 1998-2000, and 2017.
McFarland completed an undefeated season (16-0) with a 4-1 win over Plymouth to capture the Division 3 championship on June 25. It is the program’s first state title coming in its fourth tournament appearance.
Brookfield Academy (11-0-2) won the Division 4 state title on June 25 in a shootout over Cedar Grove-Belgium. The score was 1-1 through regulation and two overtimes, sending it to a shootout, which Brookfield Academy won 4-3. It is the school’s second title in three state appearances, with the other coming in 2017.
