LA CROSSE – Stratford High School’s two qualifiers for the 2021 WIAA Division 2 State Track & Field Championships fell short of earning medals on Friday at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Stratford’s Jaidyn Wright just missed a top-six spot and a state medal, finishing seventh in the girls triple jump with a leap of 35 feet, 6¾ inches.
The lone state representative for the Tigers’ boys, the 3,200-meter relay team, finished 12th. Elijah Lucio, Conner Weigel, Evan Danielson and Noah Lucio ran the 2-mile event in 8:29.72.
Three Marshfield athletes will compete at the Division 1 state meet on Saturday.
