MARATHON – The Spencer volleyball team lost all five of its matches at the Marathon Tournament on Saturday.
The Rockets lost to Thorp 25-20, 17-25, 15-6; Marathon 25-14, 25-13; Phillips 25-13, 25-18; Rib Lake 23-25, 25-22, 15-8; and Northland Lutheran 25-22, 25-16.
Heavyn Kind had 20 kills and 22 digs, Madison Knecht added 10 kills and 15 digs, Hannah Reckner had 27 assists, 14 digs and seven service aces, and Hallie Meyer had 21 assists, 15 digs and seven aces for Spencer.
Alexa Stange led the Spencer defense with 42 digs, and Mallori Barth and Jorie Meyer each had nine kills for the Rockets.
Spencer hosts Rib Lake for a nonconference match at Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
