SPENCER – Heavyn Kind scored 20 points to lead the Spencer girls basketball team to a 51-46 win over Gilman in its season and Cloverbelt Conference East Division opener on Friday at Spencer High School.

Amber Becker added 12 points for the Rockets.

Tatum Weir had 16 points to lead Gilman (0-2 overall).

Spencer plays at Granton and Gilman will host Loyal in Cloverbelt East contests on Tuesday.
