Auburndale girls basketball pummels Rosholt

AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale girls basketball team jumped out to a huge lead in the first half and went on to a dominating 70-30 win over Rosholt in a nonconference game Monday night at Auburndale High School.

Auburndale made 10 of 12 free throw attempts in the first half and cruised out to a 43-16 lead by intermission. The Eagles finished 15 of 17 overall at the line in the game.

Annamarie Aue scored 17 points, Ashlyn Grimm chipped in 14, and Josie Ertl had 12 for the Eagles, who are now 3-0 this season.

Bridget Lemanczyk scored 11 to lead Rosholt (0-2).

Auburndale will be at home against Abbotsford on Friday for a Marawood Conference crossover matchup.
