Stratford boys basketball handles Bangor to win home tournament title

STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team earned a 58-47 win over Bangor to win its home Stratford Holiday Tournament on Thursday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers led 29-22 at halftime and were able to hold off Bangor for the win and improve to 9-1 this season. Bangor is now 5-2.

Cam Daul had 24 points, making 8 of 10 free throws and a pair of 3-pointers, and Brady Schmidt drilled three long balls to account for all nine of hits points for the Tigers. Daul also had 11 rebounds for Stratford.

Stratford will return to action Friday, Jan. 7, for a Marawood Conference crossover game at home against Abbotsford. The game will be live at zaleskisports.com.
