Stratford boys basketball earns road win at Edgar, jumps into tie for Marawood South lead

EDGAR – Braeden Scheuller was 4-for-5 from 3-point range and scored a team-high 18 points to lead the Stratford boys basketball to a 60-53 win over Edgar on Friday night at Edgar High School.

The win allows Stratford to climb back into a tie for first place in the Marawood Conference South Division with Marathon, which lost to Wausau Newman Catholic on Friday, at 13-2.

Ashton Wrensch and Kaden Griesmer each added 10 points for the Tigers (19-3 overall).

Both teams play nonconference games on the road Monday. Stratford will be at Colby and Edgar travels to Crandon. The Stratford-Colby game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
