AMERY – Spencer/Columbus senior Treyton Ackman earned a spot in his fourth-straight state tournament after a second-place finish at the WIAA Division 2 individual wrestling sectional on Saturday at Amery High School.

The top three finishers in each weight qualify for the 2022 WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison on Feb. 24-26.

Ackman (31-4) lost to Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal’s Luke Dux in the 120-pound championship and will move on to the state meet again. It was third-straight weekend Dux defeated Ackman, having won matches at Cloverbelt Conference Tournament and last week’s D-2 regional.

Spencer/Columbus’s other sectional qualifier, Mason Wolf, lost both of his matches at 113 pounds.
