Marshfield boys golf opens season placing 12th at Sauk Prairie Invite

PRAIRIE DU SAC – The Marshfield boys golf team opened its season with a 12th-place finish at the 15-team Sauk Prairie Invitational on Tuesday at Lake Wisconsin Country Club.

Kaden Zinkle of DeForest earned meet medalist honors with a 76, one shot ahead of Noah Gage of Marathon and Charlie Erlandson of team champion Madison Memorial.

Memorial finished with a team score of 322, six shots ahead of Verona. Marshfield finished 12th with a score of 379.

Kyle Berres shot an 85, Tyler Heiman and Ethan Schnitzler both shot 97s, Max Oertel had a 100, and Graydon Anderson had a 105 for Marshfield.

Marshfield’s next meet is April 12 at the Wisconsin Rapids Quadrangular. D.C. Everest and Stevens Point will also compete in the meet at the Ridges Golf Course.
