Wisconsin Rapids slugs past Marshfield baseball

MARSHFIELD – Wisconsin Rapids cracked out 15 hits, six for extra bases, and defeated Marshfield 11-3 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference baseball game Tuesday at Jack Hackman Field.

Braden Lewis went 4-for-5 with three RBI, Cole Ladick had two doubles, a triple and two RBI, and Caden Sengbusch added a single, two doubles and knocked in three runs for the Raiders (6-4, 4-1 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Jordan Tibbets gave up two runs, both unearned in six innings to earn the win for Wisconsin Rapids. He struck out seven.

Ben Dietsche had two hits for Marshfield, which falls to 0-13 overall and 0-5 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

The two teams meet again Thursday at Wisconsin Rapids High School.
