Marshfield boys tennis sweeps doubles matches, defeats D.C. Everest

WESTON – The Marshfield boys tennis team stayed unbeaten in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with a 4-3 win over D.C. Everest on Wednesday at D.C. Everest High School.

The Tigers swept the three doubles matches, losing just a total four games.

Kai Rens and Justin Rachu at No. 1 doubles, Kennan Chojnacki and Payton Smith at No. 2, and Corbin Krueger and Ian Sennholz at No. 3 all won in straight sets for Marshfield.

The Tigers’ other win came at No. 4 singles where Will Jepson used three sets to defeat Andrue Dettman.

Marshfield plays a nonconference match at Eau Claire Memorial on Tuesday and will host Stevens Point in its next Wisconsin Valley Conference match on Thursday, May 12.
