MERRILL – Marshfield had two teams compete at the Merrill Boys Golf Invitational on Saturday, placing eighth and 12th among the 15 entries.
Rhinelander won the team title with a 322, 12 shots in front of Wisconsin Rapids. Marshfield’s No. 1 team was eighth with 358 and the No. 2 team was 12th with a 366.
Kyle Berres had an 82, Tyler Heiman and Maxx Oertel each had 86s, and Graydon Anderson had a 104 for Marshfield No. 1.
Keegan Frederick had an 86, Afton Hamill shot a 90, and Ethan Schnitzler and Eli Krueger both had 95s for Marshfield No. 2.
Conner Krach of Wausau Newman Catholic was meet medalist with a 73, three shots in front of Joey Volpentesta of Antigo.
