MARSHFIELD – Brett Mannigel had a goal and an assist to help the Marshfield boys soccer team to a 3-3 tie with Medford in a nonconference game Tuesday at Heiting Community Stadium.

Maahir Patel scored off a Mannigel assist 7:16 into the game to give the Tigers a quick 1-0 lead.

After Medford tied it, Marshfield scored on a Raiders’ own goal off a corner kick from Mannigel in the 18th minute.

Medford again tied the game before Mannigel added a goal on an assist from Braxton Kurth just three second before halftime to put the Tigers up 3-2.

Marshfield’s offense was unable to muster anything else and Medford tied the game for a third time on Zach Rudolph’s second goal with 10:43 remaining, and the score held the rest of the way.

Kai Rens had seven saves in goal for the Tigers, who are now 1-3-1 this season.
