Stratford football grabs road win at Shiocton

SHIOCTON – Braeden Schueller threw a pair of touchdown passes to Ashton Wrensch and Stratford rolled up nearly 300 yards on the ground as it defeated Shiocton 21-7 in a Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division football game Friday night at Shiocton High School.

Koehler Kilty ran 30 times for 245 yards and had a 15-yard scoring run in the first quarter for the Tigers, who are now 2-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the CWC Large.

Wrensch caught an 18-yard TD pass from Schueller in the second quarter, and after Shiocton scored before halftime to cut the Tigers’ lead in half, Schueller and Wrensch connected again for a 12-yard score in the third quarter to finish the scoring.

Stratford was able to overcome three turnovers by forcing two on defense.

Stratford will host Nekoosa in a conference game at Heiting Community Stadium in Marshfield on Sept. 16.
