EDGAR – Marshfield Columbus Catholic’s Isaac Scheer won his second-straight race, taking first in the boys race at the Edgar Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday.
Scheer ran in 17:41.2, 32 seconds in front of runner-up Connor Genteman of Loyal/Greenwood at the nine-team meet.
The Dons finished fourth in the boys team standings, which was won by Pittsville. Zack Christensen added a 12th-place finish for Columbus, running in 19:40.9.
Edgar won the girls team title with 46 points, one better than Westfield. Columbus Catholic only had two runners as Jenny Schneider took 30th (26:47.0) and Charlotte Schiferl was 34th (27:26.2).
Britt Fitzgerald of Mosinee won the girls race in 20:21.5.
