ANTIGO – The Marshfield Middle School girls tennis team braved the cool temperatures, wind and mist to defeat Antigo 8-0 in a doubles dual on Tuesday.
Winning doubles teams for Marshfield were: Lilly Griesbach/Greta Frye 6-0; Sophia Rosandich/Audrey Luedtke 6-3; Talia Soskos/Edyn Vechinski 6-4; Nileya Carrera/Alayna Kober 6-2; Vanessa Holtey/Shannon Davis 6-2; Katie Winder/Sylvia Lee 6-2; Jasmine Buth/Trinity Lenzo 6-2; and Maddie Kundinger/Clara Tompkins 4-1 in a match cut short due to heavy mist.
Marshfield (9-2) will finish its season with a triangular meet Thursday at Goerke Park in Stevens Point against St. Peter’s and Rhinelander James Williams.
