Marshfield volleyball crushes Wisconsin Rapids to stay unbeaten in WVC

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield volleyball continued its dominance in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with a 3-0 sweep of Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday at Marshfield High School.

The Tigers rolled, 25-7, 25-7, 25-4, to improve to 7-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference this season, all without losing a set.

Abby Ongna had 10 kills and six blocks, Rylee Corteen had eight kills and six blocks, Elise Uphoff had a team-high 10 digs, Lauren Homolka added eight kills and Reinya Balderson had 22 assists to lead Marshfield.

Grace Taylor had six kills and four service aces, and Casey Dasler also had four aces for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Eau Claire Memorial Invitational on Saturday.
