Marshfield boys soccer shut out by Stevens Point

MARSHFIELD – Stevens Point edged Marshfield 1-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys soccer game Thursday night at Heiting Community Stadium.

Marshfield goalkeeper Kai Rens had four saves in goal for the Tigers, who fall to 4-9-1 overall and 2-4 in the WVC. Stevens Point is now 4-6 and 4-2 in conference play.

Marshfield will host Wausau West on Thursday Oct. 6 in its first of two conference pool play games. The game will begin at 7 p.m. at Heiting Community Stadium. The Tigers will take on Merrill at home on Oct. 11 in the other pool play matchup that will wrap up its regular-season schedule.
