Columbus Catholic volleyball sweeps Spencer, clinches no worse than tie for Cloverbelt East title

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team clinched no worse than a share of its sixth-straight Cloverbelt Conference East Division championship with a 3-0 sweep of Spencer on Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons won 25-6, 25-10, 25-8, to improve to 6-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Columbus Catholic finishes its conference schedule Thursday at Gilman.

Aailyah Krenn had a team-high seven kills, Courtney Sommer and Lily Stratman both had nine assists, and Jenna Kibbel added 10 digs and four kills for the Dons.

Izzy Hoglund had a team-best 12 digs, Sammy Becker had three service aces, Sommer also had four kills, three blocks and four aces, and Mattea Schlafke and Gracie Wilczek both had four kills as well for Columbus.

Hayly Smith had six kills, Hallie Meyer had 11 assists, and Alexa Stange had 10 digs to lead Spencer.
