STEVENS POINT – Max Grabiec scored on a penalty kick 8:19 into the game and that proved to be enough as Stevens Point Pacelli upset Marshfield Columbus Catholic 2-0 in a Central Wisconsin Conference soccer game Thursday at the Portage County Youth Soccer Complex.

Braeden Flaker added a goal midway through the second half for the Cardinals, who improve to 7-4-2 overall and 4-2-2 in the CWC.

Columbus Catholic outshot Pacelli 9-4 but couldn’t get one into the net, dropping to 12-3 overall and 7-2 in conference play.

Lucas Kreklau had two saves in goal for the Dons.

The Dons still remain in control for the Central Wisconsin Conference championship as they can wrap up the title with a win at home against Wausau Newman Catholic on Monday.
