Marshfield junior Abby Ongna and Marshfield Columbus Catholic junior Courtney Sommer were named as honorable mention choices on the 2022 Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association All-State Teams.
Ongna, a unanimous first-team all-Wisconsin Valley Conference, led the conference with 144 kills and was fourth with a .302 attack percentage as the Tigers went undefeated in the WVC, and 35-4 overall as they reached the WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinals.
Sommer was the Cloverbelt Conference East Division Player of the Year and a first-team all-conference pick after helping the Dons to a sixth-straight conference title. Sommer led the Dons with 254 kills, and added 376 assists, 74 service aces and 172 digs as Columbus Catholic finished 34-5 overall in 2022.
