Stratford’s Seitz named Lineman of the Year, Tigers earn eight first-team picks on 2022 All-CWC Large Football Team

Stratford senior John Seitz III was named Lineman of the Year and grabbed two of the eight first-team selections to the 2022 All-Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division Football Team, as voted on by the conference coaches following the season.

Seitz earned first-team honors at offensive line and linebacker, where he 114 total tackles, including 20 for loss, helping the Tigers to a tie for the CWC Large title with Wittenberg-Birnamwood, and eventually a WIAA Division 6 state championships.

Jackson Ormond (offensive and defensive line) and Koehler Kilty (running back and linebacker) were also two-way first-team picks for Stratford. Braeden Schueller at punter and Ashton Wrensch at defensive back grabbed the other two first-team spots for the Tigers.

Schueller at quarterback and Wrensch at wide receiver, joined teammates offensive lineman Kash Dahl, linebacker Ryan Becker and defensive back Conner Weigel as second-team picks.

Kilty finished with 1,877 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, caught 14 passes for 140 yards and two more scores, and had 71 total tackles on defense for Stratford.

Ormond finished with 73 tackles and an interception for a touchdown, and Wrensch had 69 total tackles and four interceptions on defense, while hauling in a team-best 44 passes for 776 yards and 12 scores.

Schueller finished with 364 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, and threw for 1,728 yards and 23 touchdowns, while finishing with a 37.8 yard punting average on 20 kicks.

Spencer/Columbus Catholic defensive lineman Cole Hanson was the Rockets’ lone first-team pick. He also was a second-team selection at offensive line. Offensive lineman Carson Kilty and defensive back Kyle Nieman were honorable mention choices for the Rockets.

Weigel at running back, Izaiah Hadlock at offensive line, Payton Glenn at defensive back and Kash Daul at defensive line were honorable mention selections for Stratford.

Amherst quarterback Mathew Glodowski and Wittenberg-Birnamwood running back David Gauderman were Co-Offensive Players of the Year.

Glodowski threw for 1,067 yards and 13 touchdowns, and ran for 1,092 yards and 17 scores in nine games for Amherst.

In 10 games this season, Gauderman ran for 1,539 yards and 16 touchdowns.
