WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Kyle Berres and Simon Dagit each won a pair of individual events and were part of two relay wins as well, leading the Marshfield boys swim team to a 113-57 victory over Wisconsin Rapids in its Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet opener Tuesday at Lincoln High School.
Berres won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.59 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 51.74 seconds, and Dagit was victorious in the 200 individual medley in 2:24.08 and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.43 for Marshfield, which won nine of the 11 events in the meet.
Carson Klumb added a win in the 200 freestyle (2:11.72), Henry Hilbelink won the 500 freestyle (6:10.69) and Michael Dick took first in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.55) as well for the Tigers.
Marshfield’s other two wins came from the team of Klumb, Dagit, Hilbelink and Berres, who won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:40.65 and the 400 freestyle relay in 3:50.25.
Marshfield will swim at D.C. Everest in another WVC dual on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
