MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys hockey team continued its hot start of the season with a 3-1 nonconference win over Waupaca in a nonconference matchup Tuesday at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.

Noah Peterson had a goal in the first period and Tyler Reissman knocked in another in the second to help the Tigers build a 2-0 lead.

After Waupaca cut the deficit in half midway through the second period, the Marshfield defense clamped down and didn’t allow another the rest of the way.

Peterson scored again 4:55 into the third period to finish off the scoring for the Tigers, who are now 3-0 this season.

Cole Halvorsen finished with 25 saves in goal for Marshfield.
