EAU CLAIRE – Alik Martin finished second in the diving competition and Kyle Berres earned a pair of top-five finishes to help the Marshfield boys swim team to a third-place finish at the Santa Claus Invitational on Saturday at Eau Claire North High School.
Eau Claire Memorial/North won the team title with 280 points, with D.C. Everest second at 249 and Marshfield third at 188.
Martin finished with 325.80 points in the diving competition to take second behind Dylan Norby of Menomonie, who had a score of 481.90.
Berres took fourth in the 100 freestyle in 52.54 seconds and fifth in the 50 freestyle in 23.78 seconds for the Tigers’ top two individual performances.
Marshfield will be off for a couple of weeks before hosting Wisconsin Rapids for a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet on Jan. 3.
