Auburndale girls basketball comes back in second half to top Mosinee

AUBURNDALE – Annamarie Aue scored 14 of her team-high 16 points in the second half to lead the Auburndale girls basketball team to a come-from-behind 52-46 victory over Mosinee in its opening game of the Auburndale Holiday Tournament on Wednesday afternoon.

Mosinee led 21-17 at halftime before the Eagles were able to mount a comeback, outscoring the Indians by 10 in the second half to pull out the tight win.

Ashlyn Grimm and Josie Ertl each added 12 points for Auburndale, which is now 6-2.

Taelyn Jirschele had a game-high 27 points for Mosinee (5-6).

Auburndale will play in the championship game Thursday at 2:45 p.m.
