Marshfield girls basketball pounds D.C. Everest

WESTON – Raella Schueller had a double-double and four Marshfield players scored in double figures as the Tigers rolled to a 62-32 win over D.C. Everest in Wisconsin Valley Conference girls basketball action Friday night at D.C. Everest High School.

Dani Minsaas had a team-high 15 points, Ayana Bousum added 11, Zaida Kolbeck scored 10 and Schueller finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Marshfield.

The Tigers are now 16-4 overall and 8-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, remaining one-half game behind conference leader Stevens Point (8-0), which defeated Wausau West on Friday.

Marshfield cruised out to a 36-15 lead by halftime and held D.C. Everest to 36 percent shooting from the field (14 of 36).

Braelyn Beiler had a game-high 17 points for D.C. Everest (2-17, 2-7 WVC).

Both teams return to action Tuesday with Wisconsin Valley Conference matchups. D.C. Everest will be at Stevens Point and Marshfield will travel to Wausau East.
