MARATHON – Make it an even 10 for the Stratford wrestling team.
Stratford had four individual champions and four runners-up to earn its 10th-straight Marawood Conference Wrestling Tournament title on Saturday at Marathon High School.
The Tigers finished with 268.5 points, holding off second-place Marathon (235). Auburndale was third with 197 among the seven teams.
Cayden Leonhardt (132), Ryan Becker (152 pounds), Carter Lueck (170) and Jackson Ormond (182) won titles for Stratford. Colin Cournoyer (113), Trenton Cournoyer (120), Kaleb Krummel (160) and Alex Mueller (195) all placed second for the Tigers.
Auburndale picked up three individual conference titles as Colton Weiler (138), Adam Dorshorst (195) and Sloan Welch (220) finished first. Derek Godard (106) and Tanner Wargowsky (132) both took second place for the Eagles.
Stratford, Auburndale and Marathon will compete at the Marawood Conference quad meet on Friday to finish the regular season, and then travel back to Edgar for the WIAA Division 3 regional tournament on Feb. 11.
