MADISON – The 80th annual WIAA State Boys Individual Wrestling Tournament, in conjunction with the second State Girls Individual Wrestling Tournament, will be held Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 23-25, at the Kohl Center.
Marshfield is sending eight boys and one girl, while Stratford will have six boys and Auburndale five boys in the tournaments.
Wrestling begins Thursday with girls preliminaries at 3 p.m. and quarterfinals at 6:30 p.m. Boys competition starts with Division 1 prelims at 3 p.m., Division 1 quarterfinals at 5:15 p.m., and Division 2 and 3 preliminaries at 6:30 p.m.
Consolation brackets begin at 10 a.m. Friday, with Division 2 & 3 boys quarterfinals at 11 a.m. Semifinals for the girls and all three boys divisions will begin at 7 p.m.
Consolation through third-place matches will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, with all weight class championships beginning at 5:30 p.m. All of the championship matches will be televised live on Bally Sports Wisconsin. All pre-finals matches will be streamed live on WIAA.tv with a subscription to the NFHS Network.
Tickets are available online at wiaawi.org and at the Kohl Center box office for $11 per session.
