Marshfield girls track opens season with fourth-place finish at Panther Indoor Invite at UWSP

STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield girls track team opened up its 2023 season with a fourth-place finish at the 33rd annual Panther Indoor Invitational on Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Kimberly won the team title with 107 points, with D.C. Everest second with 66. Marshfield ended up fourth with 42.5 points. Stratford also competed and finished with two points.

Aubri Brown won the shot put with a throw of 37 feet, and Michaela Dick won the 400 meters in 1:01.99 for Marshfield’s two individual victories.

Marshfield also had a pair of third-place and two fourth-place finishes.

Emma Ridgway was third in the high jump (4-10), the 1,600 relay team of Danielle Minsaas, Ashley Grancorvitz, Lucy Luedtke and Dick was third in 4:26.47, and Gracie Ridgway and Minsaas tied for fourth in the high jump (4-8) for Marshfield.

Natalie Scharenbroch took seventh in the 800 (2:40.46), Natalie Kanitz finished eighth in the pole vault (8-0), and the 800 relay team of McKenzie Holm, Gracie Ridgway, Emma Ridgway and Alyssa Foemmel placed eighth in 1:58.23 as well for the Tigers.
