Marshfield Columbus Catholic juniors Emmitt Konieczny and Blake Jakobi were among the six players selected to the first team of the 2022-23 All-Cloverbelt Conference East Division Boys Basketball Team, as voted on by the eight conference coaches following the season.
The two Dons join Colby senior Kaden Wiese, Owen-Withee seniors Logan Amacher and Carter Klabon, and Neillsville senior Andrew Brown on the first team. Brown was named Player of the Year.
Konieczny repeated as a first-team performer after leading Columbus Catholic in scoring at 15.5 points per game, while shooting 77 percent from the free throw line and making 62 3-pointers. He also topped the Dons in assists with 112.
Jakobi, a second-team all-conference pick last season, averaged 13.9 points per game, making 47 percent of his 3-point attempts (71-for-150) to earn a spot in the state 3-point shootout for the second year in a row.
Brown led the conference in scoring at 21.2 points per game, making 58 3-pointers, and also led Neillsville in rebounding (6.5 per game) and steals (2.8 per game).
Amacher averaged 19 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, and Carter Klabon averaged 18.1 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3 assists per contest for Owen-Withee, which tied Columbus Catholic for second place in the conference standings.
Columbus Catholic junior Lucas Kreklau was a second-team selection, and senior Grant Olson and junior Charlie Moore were among the honorable mention picks.
No Spencer player was named to the all-conference team.
