Spencer baseball rolls past Nekoosa in season opener

NEKOOSA – The Spencer baseball team came out hitting from the start, scoring multiple runs in each of its first four at-bats of the season, and rolled to a 14-2 nonconference win over Nekoosa on Monday at Holland Field in its 2023 season opener.

Andrew Sieracki struck out four in four innings to earn the win, and added a pair of hits and two RBI for the Rockets.

Reed Knecht had a pair of doubles and four RBI, and Kaiden Miller, Connor Bacon and Zack Roehrborn also added two hits apiece in the win for Spencer.

Spencer is scheduled to play Rib Lake at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School on Tuesday, weather permitting.
