WISCONSIN DELLS – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball team had its offense at mid-season form and split a pair of nonconference games at the Woodside Sports Complex on Friday.
Columbus Catholic defeated Reedsburg 13-3 before suffering a 15-9 loss to Antigo, combining for 24 hits in the two games.
Against Reedsburg, Katelyn Casperson had a double and two triples, drove in three and scored three times to pace the Dons.
Cierra Dieringer had two doubles and two RBI, Sam Casperson had three hits, and Hailey Zimmermann had two hits and picked up the pitching win, allowing just three hits in five innings.
Sam Casperson and Zimmermann hit home runs in the loss to Antigo as the Red Robins were able to score runs in each of their six at-bats.
Columbus Catholic plays Merrill at Woodside on Saturday.
