MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield baseball team was held to three hits by Mosinee right-hander Keegan Jirschele and dropped a 4-0 decision in a nonconference game Tuesday at Jack Hackman Field.

Mosinee scored three times in the third inning and added a run in the fifth against Marshfield starter Braxton Kurth, who went the distance and struck out five.

Gavin Obremski and Davin Stoffel each had two RBI for Mosinee (6-2). Jirschele struck out seven and gave up just three singles to the Tigers to earn the pitching victory.

Marshfield (5-3) is back in action Friday with a nonconference doubleheader at Eau Claire North.
