Stevens Point sweeps Marshfield boys tennis

MARSHFIELD – Stevens Point swept all seven matches to defeat Marshfield 7-0 in a battle of undefeated Wisconsin Valley Conference boys tennis teams on Thursday at the Boson Tennis Complex.

Marshfield’s No. 1 singles player Kai Rens put up the toughest fight for the Tigers, falling to Matt Davis in a tight match 7-5, 6-3.

Stevens Point is now 3-0 and Marshfield drops to 2-1 in the WVC dual-meet season.

Marshfield will compete at the Wausau West Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
