Marshfield wins three events, takes second at D.C. Everest Boys Track Invite

WESTON – Thomas Cashmer won a pair of events and help Marshfield to a second-place finish at the D.C. Everest Boys Track & Field Invitational on Friday at Stiehm Stadium.

Cashmer won the 1,600 meters in 4:49.68 and the 800 in 2:10.31 for the Tigers, who were second with 124½ points at the six-team meet. Host D.C. Everest won 11 events and the team title with 251 points.

Luke LeMoine also added a win in the long jump with a leap of 21-1/2, and took second in the 200 meters in 23.48 seconds for Marshfield.

Trevor Foemmel took second in both the 110 hurdles (16.34) and 300 hurdles (42.30), and the 800 relay team of LeMoine, Vaughn Kolbeck, Joshua Schaefer and Kaleb Neuenfeldt was also second in 1:34.69 for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Relays at Stevens Point on Tuesday.
