Five Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA swimmers compete at National Short Course Championships

MARSHFIELD – Five members of the Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA Tigersharks swim team competed at the 2023 YMCA National Short Course Swimming Championships on April 3-7 in Greensboro, N.C.

Kyle Berres, Ireland Moran, Skylar Onsager, Faith Risa and Terra Risa made up the largest Marshfield YMCA contingent to compete at the national meet in more than 20 years.

Moran, Faith Risa, Terra Risa and Onsager finished 63rd in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:51.17 for Marshfield.

Individually, Faith Risa placed 87th in the 200 breaststroke in 2:29.41 and 79th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.81, Onsager took 87th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.04, and Berres placed 191st in the 50 freestyle in 22.72 seconds.

The YMCA National Short Course Swimming Championships was a five-day event where more than 200 YMCA teams and 1,200 swimmers from around the country competed.
