Owen-Withee scores four in ninth to earn extra-inning win over Spencer baseball

SPENCER – Owen-Withee scored four times in the top of the ninth inning to beat Spencer 5-2 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Tuesday at Spencer High School.

The loss is the first for Spencer in conference play this year as it drops to 6-4 overall and 3-1 in the Cloverbelt East. Owen-Withee is now 2-5 and 2-3 in conference play.

Madden Prybylski held Owen-Withee without a run until the top of the sixth as he struck out nine and walked five, giving up just one hit.

Spencer tied it in the bottom of the sixth and the score held until the top of the ninth when the Blackhawks scored four run and reliever Andrew Sieracki.

Prybylski had two of Spencer’s six hits.

Spencer plays a doubleheader at Greenwood on Thursday beginning at 4 p.m.
