Marshfield boys golf finishes sixth at Nekoosa Papermakers Invitational

NEKOOSA – The Marshfield boys golf team finished sixth at the 19-team Nekoosa Papermakers Invitational on Wednesday at Lake Arrowhead Golf Course.

Kyle Berres tied for 13th with an 85 to lead the Tigers, who finished with a team score of 351. Hartford won the team title with a 329, seven shots better than Wisconsin Rapids. Wausau West was third with a 338.

Ethan Schnitzler added an 86, Maxx Oertel and Tyler Heiman both had 90s, and Eli Kruger shot a 99 for Marshfield.

Marshfield will compete at the third leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Golf Tournament on Friday at Merrill.
