Stratford baseball blanks Neillsville

NEILLSVILLE – Three Stratford pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout as the Tigers defeated Neillsville 10-0 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Neillsville High School.

The Tigers used a five-run third inning to pull away and improve to 14-4.

Jack Tubbs had three hits, and John Seitz had two hits and three RBI for Stratford.

Brady Schmidt, Henry Zaleski and Jackson Ormond combined on the shutout for the Tigers, finishing with nine total strikeouts.

Stratford finishes its regular season with a nonconference game at Rhinelander on Tuesday. The Tigers will host Cadott in a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal Thursday.

Neillsville, the champions of the Cloverbelt Conference East Division, finishes its regular season with a 13-5 record.
