Medford outlasts Marshfield baseball

MARSHFIELD – Medford scored twice in the second and seventh innings to pull past Marshfield 5-2 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Jack Hackman Field.

Nick Steliga had two hits and an RBI for the Raiders, who have won 19 of their last 20 games and are now 21-4 this season.

Owen Griesbach had two hits, Carson Matis had a single and scored a run, and Adam Gilbertson drove in a run for Marshfield, which falls to 9-13.

Marshfield hosts D.C. Everest on Tuesday and the two teams play again Thursday at D.C. Everest to wrap up their regular-season and Wisconsin Valley Conference schedules.
