Marshfield Junior Legion baseball comes from six runs down to upend Wausau

WAUSAU – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team came back from a six-run deficit to defeat Wausau 9-8 in a Wisconsin Valley Legion Conference game Tuesday at Athletic Park.

Wausau led 8-2 through three innings before Marshfield scored four times in the fourth inning and added three more in the fifth to a take a one-run lead, an advantage pitcher Madden Prybylski preserved the rest of the way.

Prybylski pitched the final five innings, allowing just one run and one hit with three strikeouts to earn the victory. He also had a pair of hits and two RBI.

Tyler Kramer had a double and two RBI, and Easton Ledden had a single and drove in three as well for Marshfield.

Marshfield (8-11, 3-5 Wisconsin Valley Legion Conference) returns to action Thursday when it hosts Merrill at Jack Hackman Field. The Junior Legion game will start at 5 p.m. with the Senior game following at 8 p.m.
