Stratford wrestling team improves to 5-0 with dominating win over Abby/Colby

ABBOTSFORD – Stratford had five pins, won one match by disqualification and another by forfeit to dominate Abbotsford/Colby 56-21 in a Marawood Conference wrestling dual meet Tuesday night at Abbotsford High School.

Andrew Schreiner (103 pounds), Alex Heiden (119), Steve Marquardt (130), Jake Guyer (135) and Matt Zuelke (171) all had pins for the Tigers, who improve to 5-0 in the Marawood standings.

Stratford also got a dominating technical fall victory from Tylyn Hoover at 145 pounds. Hoover beat Tony Aguilera 18-3.

The Tigers will compete at the Bi-State Tournament on Dec. 29-30 at La Crosse.
