WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Auburndale volleyball team picked up its first victory of the season on Thursday, defeating Wisconsin Rapids 3-0 in a nonconference match at Lincoln High School.
Auburndale won 25-16, 25-14, 25-23, to improve to 1-4 this season.
Lily Bellanti had eight kills and 14 digs, and Sidney Wolff added seven kills and 14 digs to lead the Eagles.
Kylie Anderson had a team-high 15 assists, Maggie Baltus added 11 digs, and Alana Steines chipped in five kills in the win for Auburndale.
Auburndale is off until Sept. 5 when it hosts Edgar in its Marawood Conference South Division opener.
