Stratford volleyball finishes 5-3 at Onalaska Invitational

ONALASKA – The Stratford volleyball team opened its 2023 season with a 5-3 record at the two-day Onalaska Invitational on Wednesday and Thursday at the Omni Center.

On Wednesday, Stratford went 3-1, defeating Northwestern 25-15, 25-12, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau 25-14, 25-19, and Boscobel 25-13, 25-18, while losing to Onalaska 25-16, 25-20.

The Tigers followed that up by going 2-2 on the second day of the tournament, beating Westby 25-21, 25-22, and Brookwood 25-10, 25-22, and losing to Mineral Point 25-16, 25-14, and Webster 30-28, 18-25, 15-12.

Kalyn Schueller had 69 kills and 46 digs, Emerson Roy had 146 assists, Mckenzie Novotny added 27 kills, and Daisy Yoder had 26 kills in the eight matches for the Tigers.

Laney Pankratz added 79 assists and Emma Roeper had 27 digs as well for Stratford.

Stratford will take part in the Marathon Invitational on Saturday.
