MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys soccer team split a pair of games at its home quadrangular on Saturday at Griese Park.

Marshfield lost to Neenah 5-2 and defeated Appleton West 4-3 in a pair of nonconference games against Fox Valley Association competition.

Wisconsin Rapids defeated Appleton West 5-0 and lost to Neenah 3-0 in the other two games.

In the Tigers’ opening game against Neenah, goalkeeper Zak Meyer made eight saves. Aaron Ongna and Cash Frey scored goals, with Landon Lee and Matthew Uphoff assisting for Marshfield.

Kai Rens was in goal for Marshfield against Appleton West and made six saves. Goal scorers for the Tigers were not reported.

Marshfield (3-6) returns to Wisconsin Valley Conference action this week with games at Wausau East on Tuesday and Wausau West on Thursday.
