CHIPPEWA FALLS – Marshfield picked up six top-three finishes, including one event victory, and placed fifth in the team standings at the Chippewa Falls Girls Swimming Invitational on Saturday at Chippewa Falls Middle School.
Marshfield’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Terra Risa, Ella Allar, Brooke Begotka and Ireland Moran won in 1:48.14 for the Tigers’ lone victory.
Begotka picked up a pair of individual runner-up finishes, taking second in the 100 butterfly (1:02.32) and the 100 breaststroke (1:10.97), while Moran was third in both the 50 freestyle (26.36) and the 100 backstroke (1:04.17).
Marshfield also had a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay as Moran, Begotka, Risa and Shiloh Smith swan in 1:59.22.
La Crosse won the team title with Eau Claire Memorial finishing second.
Marshfield will compete in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual at Wausau East on Thursday.
