Stratford football pummels Nekoosa, remains unbeaten in CWC Large

NEKOOSA – The Stratford football team started strong again, scoring six first-half touchdowns and rolled to a 44-8 win over Nekoosa in a Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division matchup Friday night at Nekoosa High School.

Jack Tubbs tossed touchdown passes of 11 and 80 yards to Payton Glenn, Gavin Leonhardt ran for a 20-yard touchdown and Koehler Kilty had a 5-yard TD run in the opening quarter as the Tigers took control from the start.

Kilty added another rushing touchdown and Glenn returned an interception 55 yards for a score to put Stratford up 38-0 by halftime.

Tubbs finished off the scoring for the Tigers with a rushing touchdown in the third quarter.

Kilty ran for 107 yards on 10 carries, and Glenn caught three passes for 111 yards to pace the Tigers’ offense.

Stratford (5-1, 4-0 Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division) hosts undefeated Wittenberg-Birnamwood (6-0, 4-0 CWC Large) in a huge conference game next Friday at 7 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
