Stevens Point rallies to top Marshfield boys soccer

MARSHFIELD – Keegan Fredrick scored for Marshfield with just under 10 minutes left in the first half, but Stevens Point was able to put up three unanswered goals to down the Tigers 3-1 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys soccer game Tuesday at Marshfield High School.

Andrew Falkavage tied the game for the Panthers (5-4-1, 3-2 Wisconsin Valley Conference) just two minutes after Fredrick’s goal and the 1-1 score held until halftime.

Falkavage added another goal 4:41 into the second half and Diego Mata finished off the win with a goal in the 55th minute.

Zak Meyer had 10 saves in goal for Marshfield (3-8-1, 1-3-1 WVC).

Marshfield hosts D.C. Everest on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Heiting Community Stadium.
