MARSHFIELD – Tyler Reissmann scored three goals as the Marshfield boys hockey team opened its season with a dominating 6-1 win over Medford in a nonconference game Tuesday at the Marshfield Ice Arena.

Tanner Shortt added a pair of goals and Blake Meissner chipped in another for the Tigers.

Reissmann and Short scored in the first 7½ minutes and the Tigers never trailed.

Meissner added two assists and goaltender Reed Gieseking had 23 saves for Marshfield.

Marshfield will play on Friday and Saturday at the Tomah Invitational.
